🌟 Band 9 Sample Answer
Well, I would like to talk about a memorable car journey that took much longer than I had anticipated. It happened around ten years ago when I was travelling from my hometown to Sylhet with my sisters.
Everything was going smoothly at the beginning. We were enjoying the beautiful scenery outside the window and chatting with each other. However, our journey suddenly took an unexpected turn when we reached a bridge near Sherpur.
Unfortunately, the bridge was undergoing maintenance, and a massive traffic jam had built up on both sides of the road. We were stuck there for several hours, and the situation became increasingly frustrating. To make matters worse, one of my sisters suffers from motion sickness, so she started feeling extremely uncomfortable and nauseous.
After waiting for a long time, we realized that the traffic was moving at a snail’s pace. Therefore, we decided to get out of the car and walk across the bridge. Although I managed to handle the situation quite well, my sister was exhausted and struggled to walk. I helped her cross the bridge safely, and afterwards, we hired another vehicle and continued our trip.
To be honest, it was one of the most tiring and stressful journeys I have ever experienced. However, it taught me a valuable lesson: before setting out on a long journey, I should always check the road conditions and traffic updates beforehand to avoid unnecessary trouble.
Overall, despite all the difficulties, the experience became a memorable story that my family still talks about from time to time.

Question 1: How interested are young people in your country in learning to drive?
❌ Original Mistakes
- “more interested than previous” ❌
✅ more interested than previous generations - “my cousin know how to drive” ❌
✅ my cousin knows how to drive
🌟 Band 9 Answer
Absolutely, young people in my country are becoming increasingly interested in learning how to drive. In today’s fast-paced world, driving is considered an essential life skill because it provides independence and convenience. For example, many young adults learn driving at an early age so that they can travel freely for their studies, jobs, or personal commitments. However, they should also receive proper training and develop a strong sense of road safety.
🎯 Band 9 Tips
Show Opinion + Reason + Example
Formula:
Opinion → Reason → Example → Extra Thought
📝 Advanced Vocabulary
| Expression | Bangla Meaning |

Question 2: What are the differences between driving in the countryside and driving in the city?
🌟 Band 9 Answer
There are quite a few noticeable differences between driving in rural and urban areas. In cities, drivers usually have to deal with heavy traffic congestion, frequent traffic signals, and crowded roads, which can make driving stressful and time-consuming. On the other hand, driving in the countryside is generally more peaceful because there are fewer vehicles and less noise. However, rural roads may sometimes be less developed and lack proper safety facilities.
🎯 Use Comparison Language
| Basic | Band 9 Alternative |
| more traffic | heavy traffic congestion |
| less traffic | lighter traffic flow |
| easier | less challenging |
| difficult | demanding |
| busy roads | overcrowded roads |
Question 3: Do you consider most drivers where you live to be good drivers?
🌟 Band 9 Answer
To be honest, it is a mixed picture. Some drivers are highly skilled and strictly follow traffic regulations, while others tend to ignore basic road rules, which can lead to accidents and unsafe situations. In my opinion, stricter law enforcement and better driving education are necessary to improve the overall standard of driving.
🎯 Useful Expressions
| Expression | Bangla Meaning |
| a mixed picture | মিশ্র পরিস্থিতি |

Question 4: How popular are electric cars in your country?
🌟 Band 9 Answer
At the moment, electric vehicles are still in their infancy in my country. Although their popularity is gradually increasing due to growing environmental awareness, they have not yet become mainstream. The main barriers are the high initial cost, limited charging infrastructure, and the lack of sufficient maintenance facilities.

Question 5: In what ways could more people be persuaded to buy electric cars?
🌟 Band 9 Answer
I believe governments can play a vital role in encouraging people to switch to electric vehicles. They could provide tax reductions, financial incentives, and subsidies to make electric cars more affordable. Furthermore, expanding charging networks and improving after-sales services would increase public confidence in this technology.

Question 6: Do you think all cars will be electric one day?
🌟 Band 9 Answer
Personally, I believe electric vehicles will dominate the automobile industry in the future; however, I do not think traditional vehicles will disappear completely in the near future. This transition will take decades because many countries still rely heavily on petrol and diesel infrastructure. Nevertheless, with rapid technological advancement and growing concerns about climate change, electric vehicles are likely to become the preferred choice for future generations.
