Part 2
Describe Your Hometown
I’d like to talk about my hometown, Lalmonirhat, which is located in the northern part of Bangladesh near the Indian border.
Most people in my hometown are involved in agriculture, farming, business, and various service-related professions. The area is well-known for producing rice, jute, vegetables, mangoes, and other agricultural products.
The climate in Lalmonirhat is quite pleasant. We experience all six seasons, including summer, monsoon, autumn, late autumn, winter, and spring. During winter, the weather can become quite cold because of its geographical location.
I feel extremely proud of my hometown because I was born and raised there. It has a deep emotional connection with my life. Whenever I think about my hometown, I remember its beautiful natural scenery, peaceful environment, and kind-hearted people. The hospitality of the local residents makes it a truly special place for me.
Part 3
Why do many people move from villages to cities?
Many people move from rural areas to cities because they want better educational opportunities, higher-paying jobs, improved healthcare facilities, and a better standard of living. Cities usually offer more opportunities for personal and professional growth than villages.
Would you like to continue living in the city?
At the moment, yes. My husband works in the city, my son studies here, and I am also employed as a teacher. Therefore, it is practical for me to stay in the city. However, after retirement, I would love to return to my hometown and enjoy a peaceful life there.
How should rural areas be developed in the future?
I believe rural areas should receive more attention from the government. Better roads, transportation systems, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and employment opportunities should be established. If villages are developed properly, people will not feel the need to migrate to cities. As a result, the overall development of the country will become more balanced and sustainable.
Final Opinion
In my opinion, every region of Bangladesh deserves equal opportunities and facilities. If all divisions receive proper development, the entire country will progress more rapidly and improve the quality of life for everyone.
